This job is a short term position and will not be extended. The approximate start date is July.

Job Summary:
The Buying Point Operator performs essential hands-on labor to support the efficient movement, curing, and grading of peanuts. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a willingness to work in a physical, outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and clean conveyors, dryers, dump pits, hoppers, and grading equipment.
Follow safety protocols (use of PPE such as hearing/eye protection, dust masks).
Assist with trailer unloading, moisture sampling, and trailer movement.
Monitor equipment for issues and assist with maintenance and repairs.
Perform seasonal cleaning and equipment storage tasks post-harvest.

Qualifications:

Ability to perform physical labor (lifting up to 75lbs., bending, climbing).
Willingness to work in outdoor, dusty, and hot environments.
Basic understanding of equipment operation preferred.
Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Work Environment:

Mainly outdoors in the yard, or working with farm or large heavy equipment.
May require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and exposure to manufacturing and outdoor conditions.
Work at elevated heights, including climbing ladders, and platforms up to 60 ft.
